Expectations are high, and an emergency situation is no time to find out that what you need is not what you have. Know your requirements! I can't stress this enough. If your equipment needs 50 watts of power and you only have 25 watts, guess what ... Simple math. Know what your equipment needs that you want power for. Know what you have for reserve power in your battery storage. And know how much power your "generator", ie. solar panel, can provide to replenish and maintain your reserves.
